Today is my last day of one week off we took at the Azores, precisely on the island of Sao Miguel.
I never did a post like that before, where I publish my photos, so let’s try for a change 😀
Here you go.
In the island there are 4 cows per habitant, they live all free in the fields and sometimes you find them also in the middle of the road! The Azores, being of volcanic origins, are famous for their thermal waters. This is from park Terra Nostra in Furnas. The water is rich in iron as you can see from its color. Of course you can go in and take a bath. These holes are used to cook “cozido” a specialty of the island. I didn’t try it as it is meat based and I don’t eat meat.Volcano’s smoke from caldeira in Furnas.Baby pineapple. In Sao Miguel you can some plantations. Beautiful Sete Cidades, where two volcanoes join together.Hot springs in Caldeira Velha. There are four pools where you can bath, and we spent there about an hour in hot water (about 37 degrees C). After the bath the skin was super smooth! But the one if the picture is boiling water, and obviously you can’t go in!To conclude, a stunning view over the Ocean!
I hope you enjoyed this short photo show. Let me know in the comments!
